Vics appoint ex-Lewes boss King
Struggling Northwich Victoria have appointed former Lewes boss Steve King as their new manager.
King replaces Dino Maamria, who was sacked last month following a spell on gardening leave.
Caretaker-manager Mike Marsh left the Vics following Saturday's 2-1 defeat at home by fellow strugglers Eastbourne.
Lewes sacked King this summer after he led the minnows from the Ryman Division One South to the Blue Square Premier in just five years.
Northwich, currently 22nd in the Blue Square Premier, have also revealed that strikers Trevor Benjamin and Michael Byrne have left the club.
Winn and Yussuf leave Northwich
Winger Peter Winn and midfielder Rashid Yussuf have ended their loan spells with Northwich Victoria.
Winn, 20, who joined the Vics in October has been recalled by Scunthorpe United after making nine appearances for the Blue Square Premier side.
Rashid, 19, has returned to Championship side Charlton Athletic after making seven appearances in his two-month stay at the Victoria Stadium.
The departures mean Northwich currently have no loaned players in their squad.
But the Vics have been in talks with neighbours Chester City about taking experienced duo Paul Butler and Tony Dinning in a temporary deal.
Northwich locked out of stadium
Northwich Victoria have had to make a temporary switch of ground after being locked out of their Marston Arena home by stadium landlord Mike Connett.
As a result Saturday's Blue Square Premier game with Histon will take place at Altrincham's Moss Lane ground.
A club statement said the Marston Arena is 'currently unavailable'.
The statement added: "Some of the amenities which are required for a football match to take place have been removed from the ground."
It is understood that Cheshire Trading Standards ordered the game to be switched because all the safety equipment needed to stage the game has been removed by Connett.
Northwich owner Jim Rushe told the Northwich Guardian: "There isn't enough equipment at our ground to host a football match."
Vics swoop to make double signing
Blue Square Premier side Northwich Victoria have completed the signings of Damien Reeves and Jay Conroy.
Striker Reeves, 23, has joined the Vics after leaving Histon while 22-year-old defender Conroy joins from Blue Square South side Havant & Waterlooville.
Meanwhile Paul Barratt and Damian Flynn have left the Cheshire club.
Barratt has joined Fleetwood Town on a one-month loan deal while Flynn has come to an agreement over the termination of his contract.
