No approach from Nottingham Forest
QPR say they have received no approach from Nottingham Forest for Lee Camp, write David McIntyre and Richard Steele.
The goalkeeper recently had a spell on loan at Forest and played against them in Saturday's 2-2 draw at the City Ground.
Camp, back in goal for Rangers because Radek Cerny has a hamstring problem, was previously told he had no future at Loftus Road and was made available for a move.
Forest signed him on loan in October with a view to completing his permanent transfer once the January window opened.
But Camp ended up back at Rangers when his loan period expired, and his hopes of returning to the east Midlands appeared to be crushed when Billy Davies took over as Forest manager.
Davies was Camp's boss at Derby, where the former England U21 international fell out of favour and was eventually sold to QPR following two successful loan spells at the club.
Camp has since declared that he "never had a cross word" with Davies and would be interested in signing for Forest.
But QPR sporting director Gianni Paladini this week insisted that Forest had made no move to sign Camp, and as the Gazette went to press yesterday (Thursday) morning that was still the case.
Rangers say a fee of £1m was agreed for Camp's permanent move to Forest when he joined them on an initial loan deal - and they have not reduced their asking price.
Paladini said: "If Nottingham Forest were to make an offer for Lee we would consider it, but we haven't heard anything from them.
"Forest know what they need to do if they want to sign him, because it was agreed when he went there on loan. We're talking about a player who has been back in our team recently and has twoand-a-half years left on his contract here. We're not looking to give him away."
Camp was shunned following the summer signing of Cerny and believes there is no place for him at Rangers despite his recent return to the side.
The 24-year-old expects Cerny to return for the home game against Ipswich a week on Saturday, which would leave Camp out in the cold again.
He could be given the option to go back to Forest - or elsewhere - on loan, although Rangers say they would first want to sign a keeper themselves.
