Mutu returns as Collina bows out
Adrian Mutu made his comeback from a seven-month ban in Serie A champions Juventus' 4-2 win over Cagliari.
The striker was sacked by Chelsea last October after testing positive for cocaine and was subsequently banned and fined by the Football Association.
He signed a five-year deal with Juve in January and finally made his debut as a substitute for Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Referee Pierluigi Collina officiated in his last Serie A game as Brescia lost 3-0 to Fiorentina and were relegated.
Atalanta will also be in Serie B next season, while the third relegation slot will be decided by a two-leg play-off between Bologna and Parma.
At the top end of the table, Udinese clinched the fourth and final Champions League spot with a 1-1 draw at home to this year's beaten finalists AC Milan.
They will join Juventus, AC Milan and Inter Milan in Europe's premier club competition as Sampdoria, who could have finished fourth, were held 0-0 by Bologna.
Collina, 45, retires in the summer and may now become "designatore" - the man who appoints referees to fixtures every weekend in Serie A.
He is widely regarded as the best official in the world.
Collina officiated at the 2002 World Cup final and the 1999 Champions League final.
He may yet be used in the relegation play-off or the two-legged Coppa Italia final between Inter Milan and Roma.
