Midfielder set for R's start
Queens Park Rangers will hand a start to on-loan Chelsea midfielder Jimmy Smith this weekend as John Gregory gives the player a chance to impress.
Rangers snapped up the midfielder on a month's loan before the international break and and after a substitute appearance against Southampton he is set to start.
Rangers boss John Gregory told clubcall that he is ready to hand the 19-year-old a start in Saturday's clash with Norwich City as Rangers look to build on back-to-back wins.
\"He is a player who wants to be a first choice and will get a chance to show what he is about on Saturday,\" Gregory told clubcall.
\"He may not get that chance at Chelsea with Ballack, Makelele, Essien and Lampard ahead of him, but he is coming here to show he is a good player and he will start on Saturday.
\"He is a central midfield player with a good touch and he can pass the ball and we'll be able to take a look at him while he is with us.\"
