Midfielder eyeing QPR stay
Midfielder Lee Cook has reiterated his desires to remain at Queens Park Rangers next season, despite attracting Premiership interest. The 24-year-old winger was an instrumental figure in keeping boss John Gregory's side in the Championship for next season, and consequently has been linked with a summer exit from the club, with Aston Villa, Manchester City and Tottenham believed to have made enquiries. However, Cook says he is happy at QPR and is looking forward to pre-season training and next season's quest. Cook told the club's website: "I'm happy here. I want to stay at QPR. "Anything can happen between now and August 31 (when the transfer window closes), but I didn't sign an improved contract last summer just to go and leave one year on. Like the rest of the lads in the squad, I'm looking forward to returning to pre-season training in early July. "Money talks, and if the club accept a bid for me, then it is out of my hands. "But I have lived part one of the dream of playing for the club I supported as a boy, and the next step is to play for the Rs in the Premiership."
