Midfielder absence because of Swine Flu
QPR midfielder Mikele Leigertwood was reportedly isolated from the rest of the squad because of Swine Flu. Rangers sent the player home with what was described as a virus as he missed the back-to-back home wins over Preston and Reading. The Times have today revealed in light of the Blackburn debacle, that it was a bout of Swine Flu. QPR goalkeeper Radek Cerny was previously sidelined owing for the same reason, and Leigertwood was isolated from the squad for a fortnight to stop it spreading while he had treatment. Leigertwood returned to action on Saturday from the bench replacing Peter Ramage in the 4-2 win over Derby County.
