Midfield ace set to return
Marc Bircham is set to hand Queens Park Rangers a huge boost by returning to the first-team squad to face Sheffield United this weeekend after a run-out for the reserves on Tuesday.
The Rangers midfielder passed a late fitness test to line up in midfield in an attempt to build up his match fitness.
Bircham returned for the 1-0 win over Millwall but missed the following game against Crystal Palace with a groin injury but a return to training saw him play in the reserves draw with Reading.
Rangers will now monitor the midfielder and providing he suffers no reaction he is likely to return for this weekend's trip to Bramall Lane.
Danish striker Sammy Youssouf boosted his hopes of first-team inclusion with his first goal in a blue-and-white shirt.
