Martinez Disappointed At QPR Postponement
Swansea City manager Roberto Martinez was disappointed that the QPR game fell victim to the weather
The Swans clash in West London was called off yesterday due to the weather conditions currently affecting the UK and Martinez was disappointed that it would lead to some fixture congestion later on in the season.
He told the Western Mail “The QPR game being called off is not so good for us because you don’t want too many fixtures piling up at this time
“We have a little break at the end of March for internationals and things were fitting in quite nicely.
“But, of course, you want to play your games under good conditions, so you have to take whatever decision is taken.
“It is not about tiredness for us because we knew this period was going to be very demanding so we planned for it.
“The squad is still fresh, but it is not an ideal situation. The only good thing is it is the same for other people too.”
