Martin Devaney giving it large!!
Martin Devaney has sent a warning out to opening-day opponents QPR that Barnsley head to Loftus Road fully expecting to win.
The Tykes winger has recovered from a thigh strain that hindered him earlier in pre-season and insists Barnsley are confident of making a flying start despite the Londoners' financial backing.
Devaney told the club's official website: "They're the 'Chelsea' of the Championship and will be favourites for the game, but we're confident about beating them on Saturday.
"We're definitely ready and will be prepared and well organised for the game. We have nothing to fear and we have a good squad of players here who can do well in this division.
"We know they've spent a lot of money and there are big expectations at QPR, but we are full of confidence and I can see no reason why we cannot go and win. This is a new season and we're going there without fear."
