Mancini rules himself out of QPR running
Roberto Mancini has ruled himself out of the running to succeed Iain Dowie as manager of QPR - but will be eyeing up Tottenham at the weekend. Dowie was sacked by chairman Flavio Briatore on Friday after just 15 games in charge, with the club ninth in the Championship. And Briatore's fellow Italian Mancini was immediately installed as favourite to step into the Loftus Road hot-seat. Mancini is in London on a two-week holiday and will be at White Hart Lane on Sunday to see if under-fire boss Juande Ramos can secure a vital win against Bolton. And his agent, Maurizio De Giorgis, says the former Inter boss is only interested in taking a top flight job. "Is he interested in managing in the Championship? No, no, not at all," said De Giorgis. "We've never spoken to QPR, and I don't think starting again in the Championship would be the right situation for him. "They have a lot of money but Roberto doesn't work for the money - it's absolute baloney."
