Loovens close to Cardiff switch
Glenn Loovens says he expects to complete his move from Feyenoord to Cardiff City this week.
Loovens has been on loan at Ninian Park this season, but Cardiff have reached a transfer agreement with the Dutch side for the impressive centre back.
"I've always wanted to play in Britain and this will be great for me," 22-year-old Loovens told the South Wales Echo.
"Pretty much everything is ready for me to sign."
Bluebirds manager Dave Jones says he is delighted to have secured the Dutch centre back on a permanent basis.
"He has been a big part of this season and he's done well," said Jones.
"Glenn is a young boy, still only 22, who is learning and he needs to improve on a lot of his game.
"Now he is our player and not just here on loan we can do more with him.
"He has never played so many games in all his life and has had to adapt to that. He was a big signing - and an important one.'
