Leigertwood joins Rs from Blades
QPR have signed Sheffield United's Mikele Leigertwood for an undisclosed fee - and he goes straight into the squad to face Southampton.
The 24-year-old midfielder has put pen to paper on a three-year contract at Loftus Road and Hoops manager John Gregory told the club's official website: "Since the injury to Simon Walton, the midfield area is one we have been trying hard to fill.
"Mikele is an outstanding athlete and footballer who can come straight into the team in that position and I think he is a quality acquisition for the club."
Leigertwood said: "QPR contacted me on Wednesday, I had a word with John Gregory and I had a look around the place on Thursday - I was very impressed with what I saw and hopefully we can all progress together.
"I am hard-working, honest, never one to shy away and hopefully I can bring some steel to the centre of the park."
