Larsson to extend Barcelona stay
Sweden striker Henrik Larsson will take up an option to stay with Spanish champions Barcelona for at least one more season.
Larsson, 33, was offered an extension to his deal until June 2006, despite tearing cruciate ligaments in November.
The former Celtic idol told the Helsingborgs Dagblad newspaper: "It is a flattering offer and I have decided to accept it.
"And I expect us to solve all things this week."
Despite his recent return to action for Barca, Larsson has been left out of Sweden's squad for the World Cup qualifier against Malta on Saturday and the friendly against Norway four days later.
Coach Lars Lagerback cited Larsson's long lay-off as a prime reason for his omission.
