Defender Davies stays at Harriers
Kidderminster have extended the loan signing of West Brom defender Rob Davies for a further month. The Wales under-21 international orignally signed on a one-month deal and has played . West Brom boss Tony Mowbray has the right to recall the 19-year-old at 24 hours' notice. Davies, 19, joined the Baggies from Wrexham during the 2003/04 season but has so far been restricted to just one senior appearance for the club.

Stafford 1-2 Kidderminster
James Constable grabbed a a goal in each half to give Kidderminster victory over Stafford at Marston Road. Constable had already brought a superb save from Stafford keeper Danny Alcock when he coolly slotted home following a headed pass from Iyesden Christie. And on-loan Walsall man made it two in the 57th minute when Christie's run and pass found him he finished with ease into the bottom-right corner. Craig McAughtrie's powerful 12-yard header made it 2-1 late on. Stafford Rangers: Alcock, Sutton, McAughtrie, Daniel, Talbott, Gibson, Basham, Murphy, Edwards (Olaoye 65), Grayson, Madjo (Barlow 66). Kidderminster v Cambridge Utd
Kidderminster will be without Iyseden Christie against Cambridge after he returned to parent club Rochdale. Midfielder Rob Davies may be restricted to the bench again after failing to recover from a knock, with Dean Sturridge still a long-term absentee. Cambridge manager Jimmy Quinn's injury problems continue, with Paul Crichton the latest to be ruled out. The keeper's red card against Burton sees him miss out with Ritchie Hanlon, Tommy Jaszczun and David Bridges.

Kidderminster snap up Christie
Kidderminster Harriers have completed the permanent signing of striker Iyseden Christie from Rochdale. The clubs have agreed a free transfer deal for the 30-year-old following the end of a successful loan spell. Christie has scored eight goals in 19 Conference appearances for Harriers since joining the Conference club for a second time in August. The former Mansfield and Leyton Orient striker previously left Kidderminster to join Rochdale in January 2006.

Harriers boss wants strong finish
Kidderminster Harriers boss Mark Yates has urged his side to finish the season as high up the Conference table as possible after their win at Rushden. "If we aren't going to finish in the top five then I want to finish sixth," he said after the 1-0 victory. "We always want to keep going forward and we want to finish the season well. "I wanted five wins before today and this is one of them. Now we've got four big league games to go until our big day at the Trophy final."

Rushden recall Wilson from loan
Rushden and Diamonds have recalled defender Glenn Wilson from a loan spell with Conference rivals Kidderminster. Wilson, 21, returns to Nene Park to cover for injuries after making six appearances for Kidderminster. Boss Mark Yates told Harriers' website: "Gary Hill wants to make sure Rushden are safe from relegation. "They've got injuries so we haven't got a problem. We're disappointed to lose Glenn, but we understood this kind of situation when we took him."

Kidderminster release Sturridge
Striker Dean Sturridge has been released by Kidderminster Harriers manager Mark Yates. The 33-year-old joined Harriers last summer and featured in six games before suffering an Achilles injury, which ended his season prematurely. "It didn't work out as we'd have liked with Dean and it was a massive shame with the serious injury he picked up," Yates told SSB. "But he was a massive help in the dressing room and around the club."

Management duo pen Harriers deals
Kidderminster Harriers manager Mark Yates has signed a new two-year contract at the Aggborough Stadium. Assistant boss Neil Howarth has also agreed a deal running until June, 2009. The pair, who were appointed in January 2006, have been rewarded for reversing the club's fortunes since relegation from the Football League in 2005. Chairman Barry Norgrove told the Kidderminster Shuttle: "I'm pleased for them. They are local lads who have done an excellent job since taking over."

Kidderminster sign keeper Coleman
Kidderminster have made former Walsall keeper Dean Coleman their fourth new signing of the summer. Coleman, 21, spent spells with Bromsgrove Rovers and Willenhall Town last season after leaving Walsall in May 2006. He made two first-team appearances for the Saddlers after coming through the youth ranks at the Bescot Stadium. Coleman will challenge Scott Bevan for the number one jersey at Aggborough following Steve Taylor's departure.

Kidderminster 2-2 Cheltenham
Kidderminster Harriers came from behind to draw with Cheltenham in Tuesday's pre-season friendly at Aggborough. A 12th-minute free-kick from Ben Gill gave Cheltenham the lead but Jonny Harkness hit back with a free-kick five minutes before the break. Trialist Shane Paul ran 30 yards before playing in striker James Constable to put Harriers ahead on 63 minutes. The Robins equalised four minutes later when Craig Read beat goalkeeper Dean Coleman from a tight angle.

Strike partnership pleases Yates
Kidderminster boss Mark Yates was delighted with strikers Justin Richards and James Constable as the Harriers earned their first win of the season. Summer signing Richards opened his account with two goals as Kidderminster won 3-1 at Stafford Rangers. "Both James and Justin were excellent. Justin got his rewards and James won't be far behind," said Yates. "James is disappointed not to score but it won't be long in coming. His first two performances have been decent."

Howarth hails Harriers' hard work
Assistant manager Neil Howarth says hard work was the key to Kidderminster Harriers' win over Rushden & Diamonds. The 1-0 win followed two successive league defeats by Stevenage and Grays. "We like to have a hard-working ethos that we didn't have against Grays and we had in patches against Aldershot, Stafford and Stevenage," Howarth said. "But for the 90 minutes today we got in their faces and, without being disrespectful to Rushden, we ended up quite comfortable winners."

MacKenzie makes move to Harriers
Kidderminster Harriers have signed Shrewsbury goalkeeper Chris MacKenzie to try to ease their injury problems. The 35-year-old moves to Aggborough on a month's loan following injuries to both Scott Bevan and Dean Coleman. Bevan has a leg muscle strain and is struggling to be fit to face Torquay, while Coleman has a hairline fracture to a finger. The former Chester, Leyton Orient and Hereford Utd stopper has made just one appearance for the Shrews this season.

Harriers appeal over sending-off
Kidderminster Harriers are appealing to the Football Association over James Constable's red card in the 2-0 defeat at home to Oxford United on Saturday. The striker was sent off after colliding with an Oxford defender. The club say they are confident, after watching video evidence, that Constable will not be suspended. "The referee had a big influence on the game and that disappoints me," Harriers manager Mark Yates told BBC Hereford and Worcester.

FA to meet Harriers over appeal
The Football Association has agreed to meet with Kidderminster Harriers about the dispute over James Constable's dismissal in the 2-0 defeat to Oxford. The striker's appeal was rejected and he now faces a three game suspension. Kidderminster submitted detailed representations to the FA on Friday which they claim exonerate Constable from an alleged elbow. The club says the FA is sympathetic but no further action can be taken to overturn the decision.
