Heslop in Kidderminster loan move
Young Barnsley midfielder Simon Heslop has joined Conference side Kidderminster on a month's loan. Heslop, 18, is set to link up again with Harriers boss Stuart Watkiss, who was formerly the Tykes' academy manager before moving to Aggborough as boss. "He immediately caught my eye during my time at Barnsley, and he's a lad with a lot of natural ability," Watkiss told his club's website. "With the busy period of games, it's great to have another body on board."

Watkiss takes positives from draw
Stuart Watkiss was not too downbeat after John Danby's last-minute own goal cost Kidderminster victory over Grays. Following the 2-2 draw, the Harriers boss said: "It was a costly mistake but there was a lot to take from the game. "We played a lot better than we did last time out, especially as the game wore on and I am relatively happy with what I have seen. "We are pleased with a point although we are disappointed not to seal the win," he added on the club's website.

Watkiss needs results to improve
Kidderminster boss Stuart Watkiss admits he will be under pressure if results fail to improve. Watkiss believes the club's recent on and off-field problems now make a promotion tilt difficult. He told the Kidderminster Shuttle: "You either go under and feel sorry for yourself or roll your sleeves up and come out fighting. "I intend to come out fighting but obviously results will decide how long I'm going to be manager."

Kidderminster pair go out on loan
Kidderminster youngsters Jermain Hollis and Russ Penn will join Alvechurch on a month's loan. The pair are yet to figure in the Conference this season, and will get the chance of first-team football with the Midland Alliance side. Boss Stuart Watkiss told Harriers' website: " I think this will give both lads some much-needed experience." Hollis, 19, made one League appearance last season while Penn, 19, joined from Scunthorpe in the summer.

Harriers bring in Flynn as cover
Kidderminster boss Stuart Watkiss has signed former Torquay defender Patrick Flynn to bolster his defensive options. The ex-Wolves junior 20, has moved to Aggborough for a month on non-contract terms to cover for the absence of Wayne Hatswell and Chris McHale. "With Chris going out to Stourport for a month for games, it's freed up a little bit of cash," Watkiss told Sir Stanley. "We can take Patrick for a month, and can have a good look at him." Watkiss added: "The early impressions are good. "If he does well, we can get him on board, but obviously everything's going to be dictated by finance." Flynn, an Irish Under-19 star, was released by Wolves last summer and made an appearance for Torquay in September.

Yates pleased after Harriers draw
Kidderminster boss Mark Yates praised his side after they battled for a 1-1 draw at struggling Tamworth. He said: "Tamworth did well at times, but I thought we were the better team and passed the ball well. "The lads showed some great spirit and got out of the hole they'd got themselves into in the first half, as we'd been poor defensively. "Andy White held the ball up well, and Lee Thompson linked the play up - they gave us bit of a cutting edge." Midfielder Russ Penn, 20, has signed a contract extension keeping him at Aggborough until 2008.

White back at Magpies after loan
Striker Andy White has returned to Notts County following a month's loan with Kidderminster Harriers. Harriers boss Mark Yates had been keen to extend White's temporary deal, which expired after Saturday's goalless draw at Forest Green. But White, 24, is now back with County and is expected to play in a friendly for the League Two side on Tuesday. He has scored twice in 21 League appearances for County since signing for the club last summer.

Morecambe 2-0 Kidderminster
Michael Twiss scored one goal and made the other to boost Morecambe's play-off hopes in a lacklustre game. Twiss put the ball beyond Kidderminster goalkeeper John Danby in one of the few chances of the first half. Substitute Wayne Curtis secured victory with a late goal, collecting Twiss' neat pass and firing past Danby. Kidderminster's best chance came in the first half when Gareth Sheldon's close-range effort was kept out by Morecambe goalkeeper Steven Drench. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Morecambe: Drench, Hardiker, Blackburn, Kempson, Howard, Thompson, Perkins (Hunter 86), Brannan, Twiss, Barlow (Curtis 68), Carlton (Rigoglioso 77). Yates fury at Harriers collapse
Kidderminster boss Mark Yates vowed that things would be different for next week's derby against Hereford, after an emphatic 4-1 home defeat by Aldershot. "We were very, very poor, and as the manager I have to take responsibility and hold my hands up," he said. "I sat and suffered watching that performance and getting a lot of stick from the fans, which was justified. "We were absolutely shocking out there. We know it's going to be hard against Hereford but things will be different."

Kidderminster v Grays
Kidderminster's on-loan defender Simon Rea should continue, but Wayne Graves is still hampered by a groin injury. Jake Sedgemore is vying for a starting spot after sitting on the bench at the weekend after returning from injury. Grays could hand debuts to new signings Mark DeBolla and Charlie Henry after both joined during the last week. On-loan defender Andy Edwards is out with a toe injury and Lee Matthews is sidelined with a long-term knee injury but Ade Olayinka is fully fit.

Hereford 0-1 Kidderminster
Michael Blackwood's superb strike ended the 16-game unbeaten run of high-flying Hereford, who finished with 10 men. Blackwood collected a loose ball to fire home left-footed and claim a deserved win for the Harriers. They could have gone ahead earlier when Johnny Mullins' close-range header was brilliantly saved by Wayne Brown. Andy Ferrell was dismissed for reacting angrily to Terry Fleming's late tackle but the Bulls were set for a point when Blackwood's hammered in from 25 yards. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hereford: Brown, Green, Mkandawire, James, Jeannin, Taylor (Pitman 81), Ferrell, Stanley, Purdie, Williams, Fleetwood (Stansfield 67). Kidderminster let Wilson move on
Kidderminster Harriers have confirmed that midfielder Laurie Wilson has left the Aggborough Stadium. The 21-year-old was allowed to part company with the Conference club after being told he did not figure in manager Mark Yates's plans. The former Sheffield Wednesday youngster joined Kidderminster from Burton Albion last summer. Wilson started eight Conference games and made 13 further appearances as a substitute for Kidderminster.

Kidderminster 0-0 Stevenage
Kidderminster denied play-off hopefuls Stevenage victory despite having defender Daryl Burgess sent off. Borough almost broke the deadlock when Luke Oliver's 18-yard header was tipped over the bar by Daniel Lewis. The second-half was as uneventful as the first but Harriers did manage a shot on goal through Jon Newby. The game kicked into life when Burgess was shown a second yellow foul on Jon Nurse and George Boyd spurned three chances to win the game for Stevenage. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Kidderminster: Lewis, Mullins, Burgess, Hurren, Rea, Sedgemore, Fleming, Penn, Blackwood (Harkness 90), Reynolds (Sheldon 37), Newby (Russell 78).
