Keeper headache for Rangers boss
QPR are facing a goalkeeper crisis ahead of Saturday's opening league match against Hull. Summer signing Simon Royce has a back problem and youngster Jake Cole was forced to sit out a friendly against Tottenham because of a thigh injury. Rangers boss Ian Holloway said: "As things stand, I don't have a keeper. It's a worrying situation. "Simon had to come off against Birmingham on Saturday and Jake wasn't able to play in a practice game." Rangers hoped to sign youngster Wayne Henderson from Aston Villa but were unable to agree a fee. Henderson, 21, impressed during a recent trial at Loftus Road. "We're seeing if we can get someone in before the weekend. Hopefully we'll sort something out in time," Holloway added. Meanwhile, defender Ian Evatt will be sidelined for a month with a thigh injury.
