Jones' family thank Rs fans
The family of Ray Jones have spoken of their gratitude to QPR fans after their emotional tribute to him during the match against Southampton.
The Rs lost 3-0 but that failed to overshadow the sentiment of the day as fans remembered Jones with a minute's applause before kick-off while flowers, cards and Rangers shirts containing messages of condolence were left outside Loftus Road.
Jones' former team-mates also carried his name on their backs and a family spokesman said: "The family are eternally grateful for the reception they received on Saturday, the many tributes and the loving support showed by all concerned last weekend."
