Joey Barton brands former Arsenal defender as “crap”
Joey Barton has branded former Arsenal defender Lee Dixon as a “crap” TV pundit.
The out-spoken Barton was speaking on his Twitter account and while he reserved praise for Alan Hansen, the 29-year-old claimed Match of the Day 2 pair Dixon and Colin Murray should quit.
“Going officially on record, as saying Lee Dixon is crap, on Motd. Hansen is brilliant. Dixo and Colin Murray are really bad! P45′s please,” tweeted Barton.
He added: “I’d really like to see Roy Keane on MOTD, now that would be great TV. Also get Big Dessie Lynam back! Big Des was an institution in r house.”
Barton has previously criticised the dress sense and views of Match of the Day’s Alan Shearer.
