Italy's Totti returns to action
Italy playmaker Francesco Totti played his first competitive match for two months on Thursday as he continues his recovery from a broken leg.
Totti featured for AS Roma's junior team in a friendly and is now hoping to play for the senior side in two weeks.
Italy coach Marcello Lippi has insisted that he will allow Totti as much time as he needs to recover from the injury.
And the 29-year-old now looks set to be fit in time for Italy's opening World Cup match with Ghana on 12 June.
Totti broke his left leg and strained ligaments in his ankle while being tackled during Roma's Serie A match at Empoli on 19 February and had surgery a day later.
Roma play their last Serie A matches between 7-14 May and in the Italian Cup finals against Inter Milan between 3-11 May.
