IRON SNUB BUTLER BID
Scunthorpe have turned down a reported £300,000 bid for defender Andy Butler from QPR.
The 21-year-old has become a firm favourite at Glanford Park since breaking into the side in 2003 and his 10 goals this season have helped fire the club to promotion from League Two this season.
Rangers boss Ian Holloway was keen to snap up the defender to bolster his side for a renewed assault on the Championship next term.
However, it is believed the Iron would ask for a figure nearer £500,000 for Butler, who is currently just 12 months into the four-year contract he signed towards the end of last season
