Hot shot set for Hoops move?
Reports are circulating in London that Wigan Athletic striker Marlon King is set for a loan spell at Queens Park Rangers.
King, who is unable to break into Roberto Martinez' first team reckoning , is likely to move on in order to gain the first team football that he craves.
Prior to season 2008/09 King joined Hull City on a season long loan. However, after making 19+1 Premier League appearances for the Tigers, scoring five times, he was sent back to the JJB Stadium. Almost immediately, on 23rd January 2009, he was then loaned to Middlesbrough with Ahmed Mido making an identical move to the Latics. Marlon returned to the JJB Stadium in June 2009 with Mido also returning to the North East club who had been relegated from the Premier League in his absence.
Marlon has never settled at Wigan since being signed from Watford by then manager Steve Bruce on 25th January last year.
