Hoops must pay big for Peterborough Utd boss Ferguson
QPR are going for Peterborough United boss Darren Ferguson after parting company with Iain Dowie.
Rangers co-owner Flavio Briatore wants a young ambitious coach and Sir Alex Ferguson’s son fits the bill.
But Posh will demand around £1million in compensation for their manager.
Peterborough director of football Barry Fry is not surprised Ferguson has been targeted.
He said: “He’s a quality manager who has been determined to do things without any help from his father.
“QPR had an eye on him last summer but if they come in, the compensation will have to be right because Darren has three years left on his contract.”
wouldn't be my first choice to be honest,his lack of experience is a big issue for me.if you want my opinion we should go for a big name this time as a statement of intent.some of the names being suggested are rediculous,fo instance sam allerdyce yeah great they will have to fit rocking chairs so our necks dont get strained.we need someone who has connections especially in europe raniari or houllier would be the sort of name i would want not joe clogger from division 8 :laugh:
