HOOPS DUO IN RESERVE-TEAM ACTION
QPR have received a major boost after long-term absentees Dexter Blackstock and Pat Kanyuka completed 45 minutes of a reserve game on Tuesday. Blackstock, last season's top scorer, has been sideline for almost two months after requiring knee surgery following the 4-2 dfeat at Colchester in early October. And big defender Kanyuka has been out for seven months with a serious thigh injury which needed an operation over the summer. "Match fitness is completely different to training but we saw enough from Dexter in the opening 45 minutes to know he'll be ready for Saturday against Sheffield Wednesday, if required," said physio Paul Hunter. "Pat has been out for a very long time and, as such, we have to take extra precautions with him. We'll gradually ease him back into it over the next few weeks." Young striker Romone Rose found the net for Rangers in a 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace at Loftus Road.
