Hogan Ephraim is well aware In-form midfielder Hogan Ephraim is well aware of the need for Rangers to build on Saturday's victory at Pride Park with another three point return against Blackpool on Tuesday night.
The 20 year-old was in stunning form against Derby last weekend, as Paulo Sousa's men registered only their second away win of the campaign.
Yet despite starring in what was ultimately a totally one-sided victory, Ephraim isn't about to rest on his laurels as the R's go in search of another win on their travels at Bloomfield Road next week.
"Our away form has been holding us back all season, but the fact we're in such a strong position in the table can only bode well for the run-in," he told www.qpr.co.uk.
"Back-to-back victories, especially on the road, can go a long way to defining a sides' season and we're fully well aware of that.
"We've struggled at places like Blackpool in the last few seasons, but there seems to be a new resilience about us in the last few weeks."
In terms of ability, Ephraim has 'no doubts whatsoever' that the R's are perfectly primed for a tilt at the top-six, but he understands the need to string together a positive sequence of results, especially as the business end of the season approaches.
"Midweek matches are key in this division, especially when you look at the run of fixtures we've got coming up, with back-to-back home matches against Reading and Swansea," he said.
"We need to pick up where we left off against Derby. I think you'll find people will stop highlighting our poor away form if we can register another victory at Blackpool.
"We should have beaten them at our place earlier this season, but we had to settle for a draw, so we're doubly determined to make sure we get one over them on Tuesday."
