Halmosi & Timar Linked To QPR Move
Plymouth Argyle Hungarian duo Peter Halmosi and Krisztian Timar have been linked with a summer transfer move to Queens Park Rangers. A national newspaper has speculated that QPR manager Luigi De Canio will offer £2.5 million for the two Hungarian internationals when the transfer window opens in the summer. Argyle have already sold one Hungarian to QPR when Akos Buzsaky moved to Loftus Road on-loan in November 2007 before making the deal permanent in January with a £500,000 transfer. Halmosi and Timar, both 28, have been Argyle's best players this season and are currently neck-and-neck in Plymouth Vital's Player of the Season poll with each player gaining 40% of the vote. Halmosi joined Argyle on-loan from Hungarian side Debrecen in January 2007 before signing a three-year contract in May in a £400,000 transfer. The left-winger is Argyle's top-scorer this season with nine goals after the departure of striker Sylvan Ebanks-Blake to Wolves. Timar also joined Argyle on-loan in January 2007 before making a £75,000 permanent switch. The big centre-back has a contract at Home Park until June 2009.
