Gregory lands Addicks midfielder
QPR have signed midfielder Simon Walton on a three-year deal from Championship rivals Charlton Athletic.
The 19-year-old has moved to Loftus Road for £200,000 just 12 months after Iain Dowie signed him for Charlton in a £500,000 deal from Leeds United.
But Walton failed to make the breakthrough at The Valley after Dowie's sacking and spent time on loan with Ipswich Town and Cardiff City.
Walton told the club website: "I'm glad it's all sorted and I'm raring to go."
Boss John Gregory said: "Simon has been a victim of circumstances in the last 18 months or so.
"We will benefit greatly from the fact that Iain Dowie signed Simon at Charlton and Alan Pardew wants his own players in the team.
"His presence on the field belies his age and he is quickly going to become a fans favourite with his no-nonsense approach."
