Gregory keen on Ze Maria
QPR manager John Gregory is reportedly keen to bring veteran Ze Maria to Loftus Road after his move to Sheffield United collapsed.
The 34-year-old was expected to complete a move to the R's Championship rivals Sheffield United but talks with his agent came to end when the two parties could not agree terms.
Bramall Lane chief Bryan Robson told the club's official website: "Negotiations with Ze have been ongoing for a few days and it appeared likely we would reach an agreement.
"But talks have now broken down, the player will not be joining us and I will be focusing my attentions on targets elsewhere."
Ze Maria, who won over 40 caps for Brazil, watched the Blades' 3-2 defeat at Selhurst Park over the weekend and was expected to be available for their home clash Southampton on Saturday.
Gregory could now swoop for the Brazilian midfielder as he looks to add a player with top-flight experience to his struggling side.
