Gregory: Eight minutes of madness cost us
John Gregory felt his side were hard done by as two late goals from Hull's Stuart Elliot saw The R's lose to their relegation rivals. QPR led at half time when former Southampton striker Dexter Blackstock bundled the ball over the line in first half stoppage time. However, after Lee Cook was sent off in between the two last-gasp strikes from Elliot, Gregory's men find themselves just four points clear of the drop zone. The former Villa boss believes that his side did enough to come home victorious from this relegation six-pointer. Gregory said: "I thought we did enough to win the game. It was a harsh lesson for my inexperienced players and they have to learn from that. It was just that last eight minutes of madness which we didn't deal with." Rangers have now lost their last five games away from Loftus Road, with their last away victory coming in November when a late Ray Jones strike saw them defeat Cardiff City. The R's have a welcome break from the league on Tuesday evening when they take on Luton at Kenilworth Road in the third round FA Cup replay. A victory will restore some much needed confidence in their fight for survival.
