Giovanella banned for two years
Celta Vigo midfielder Everton Giovanella has been banned for two years following a positive drugs test.
The 35-year-old tested positive for a metabolite of the banned steroid nandrolone in a random test after a Second Division match in December 2004.
But the Brazilian is unlikely to serve the punishment immediately as his club is appealing against the decision.
Giovanella has always maintained his innocence and has also said that he will go to court to clear his name.
