Millwall v Gillingham
Millwall are likely to be without defender Danny Senda who suffered concussion during the abandoned match at Northampton on Saturday. Youngster Ali Fuseini replaced Senda at Sixfields, and could be drafted in. Gillingham will be without defender Ian Cox for the trip to Millwall after his dismissal against Oldham on Saturday. Brent Sancho is set to take his place, while Alan Pouton (back) is still not fully fit to start the match and Dean McDonald is doubtful with a knock.

Scally cautious of new signings
Gillingham chairman Paul Scally says the increase in player's wages is the main reason the club are struggling to bring in new players. The Gills are keen to strengthen their squad in the January transfer window. But Scally told SSB: "Player wages are six times higher than they were in 1995 and my budget for players in 1995 was £600,000, it is now £1.5m. "So there's another £1m that we are paying out on wages, that we would have put towards signing new players."

Gills boss not issuing new deals
Gillingham manager Ronnie Jepson says he is not thinking about new contracts for existing players until they confirm their League One status. Jepson told BBC Radio Kent: "I can't relax until I've got enough points on the board. "We're out and about looking at players but all my energy is going into trying to keep the boys positive and keep them concentrated on the games ahead. "One thing we must do is we have got to toughen up when we're away from home."

Gills are not safe, says Jepson
Manager Ronnie Jepson says Gillingham are not safe from relegation despite their 1-0 win against Bristol City. The Gills are eight points clear of the drop zone after Dean McDonald scored the only goal. "We can't say we're not safe until it is mathematically impossible for us to go down," Jepson told SSB. "I just want a good end to the season because the supporters deserve it because they have got behind us and followed us all over the country."

Jepson praises Gills achievement
Gillingham boss Ronnie Jepson feels it was a great achievement from everyone at the club to stay up this year. They secured safety thanks to their 1-0 win at Chesterfield at the weekend. "People don't realise what my staff and I do. We've never worked so hard, it's a small squad - staying up is a great achievement," he told SSB. "Myself, Mick Docherty and Colin Clifford the physio - it's only the three of us and we get embarrassed when other clubs come with much more staff."

Larrieu in line for quick recall
Romain Larrieu is in line for an instant return to the Plymouth first-team following his recall from a loan spell at Gillingham. Larrieu, 30, has been at Priestfield since January but the Pilgrims recalled him when Gillingham were safe. Asssitant manager Tim Breacker told the Plymouth Herald: "We we wanted him to be part of the hte last three games. "We want to have a good look at him, although that is no reflection on Luke McCormick who has been excellent."

Royce plugs Gills goalkeeping gap
Gillingham have signed Queens Park Rangers' keeper Simon Royce on loan until the end of the season. The Gills were given special League dispensation to sign the 35-year-old. Injury to Kelvin Jack, and Plymouth's recall of on-loan Romain Larrieu left the Gills without a senior keeper for Saturday's game against Port Vale. Royce, 35, made 20 Championship appearances for QPR this season, and has also had spells with Charlton, Leicester and Southend.

Charlton are interested in Jarvis
Gillingham chairman Paul Scally has revealed that Charlton are interested in want-away winger Matt Jarvis. The 20-year-old is out of contract and will be free to leave Priestfield this summer, although the fee would be set by a tribunal as he is under 24. However, Scally believes the player's agent has already struck a deal with an unnamed Championship club. "We have had interest from Charlton, which I'm discussing with his agent," Scally told SSB. "But that's as far as it's gone. If he was in contract, I think he'd be worth £2m. "And if he continues his development, I believe he'll play for England within the next three or four years." Jarvis rejected Gillingham's offer of a new contract earlier this summer, while Nottingham Forest and Plymouth have also tried to sign him.

Boss Jepson knows retained list
Gillingham manager Ronnie Jepson says he has already made his mind up as to which players will be staying at the club next season. Jepson has 11 of his squad who are now out of contract. He told SSB: "You could see in the game on Saturday that there were some players that were a bit uncertain about their futures. "I have decided who is staying and who is going and by Tuesday afternoon they will know what my retained list is."

Gills boss sweats on trio to sign
Gillingham boss Ronnie Jepson fears he faces competition from other clubs for three players offered new contracts. Danny Jackman has verbally agreed a new deal, but fellow defender Ian Cox, and midfielders Michael Flynn and Danny Spiller have yet to put pen to paper. Jepson told SSB: "They might have something on the board themselves, agents work and tout them around. "Hopefully they'll decide to stay, but if they don't we'll bring in people who want to be at the club."

Gills offer Jarvis improved deal
Gillingham chairman Paul Scally says the club have made an improved contract offer to star winger Matty Jarvis. The 20-year-old seems certain to leave Priestfield this summer when his current deal expires and has been linked with several Championship sides. But Scally told the Kent Messenger: "We've had a real good go at keeping him and we've made him a further improved offer. "There's always hope. We've done as much as we can and it's up to Matt."

Flynn waiting on Gillingham offer
Gillingham captain Michael Flynn does not know whether he will play for the club again until he receives their offer of a new contract. The Gills want the 26-year-old Welshman to stay at Priestfield, but he told BBC Radio Kent: "I'm just waiting for the offer to come in the post. "Then I'll start thinking about whether to accept it. "I'm pretty open-minded - I'm out of contract so you never know what could happen, but there's no hidden agenda." Flynn, who has made 97 league appearances since joining the Gills from Wigan in February 2005, has also reportedly held talks with Millwall.

Hessenthaler key to King signing
Gillingham chairman Paul Scally says former player-manager Andy Hessenthaler advised the club to sign new £200,000 arrival Simon King. "We had been watching him all season and had him checked out thoroughly," Scally told BBC Radio Kent. "We talked to an awful lot of people about him. "Andy Hessenthaler recommended him highly. In his time at Barnet he said he was best player they had. "Hessie thinks he is going all the way to the top."

Onuora will use radio experience
Gillingham's new coach Iffy Onuora says his experience working with BBC Radio Kent could prove valuable next season. He was a matchday summariser last year and saw things from a different perspective to what manager Ronnie Jepson saw down at pitchside. Onuora told SSB: "It's given me an insight into the game and hopefully that'll be of benefit and an outside opinion of how I saw things. "It was easier to see things from a detached point of view." Onuora added: "I know how it is when you're in the thick of it and it can be a difficult job at times. But I think that added little knowledge is hopefully something I can bring to the staff here."
