Fitness doubts mount for Rangers
QPR are waiting on the fitness of a number of players ahead of their Championship season opener at Burnley on Saturday.
Rangers will definitely be without veteran striker Paul Furlong at Turf Moor as the former Birmingham and Chelsea player is out for five weeks with a thigh injury.
Fellow forwards Kevin Gallen and Marc Nygaard are also doubtful following knocks picked up during pre-season, but midfielder Martin Rowlands has resumed full training and should be available.
Egutu Oliseh - one of boss Gary Waddock's summer signings - is likely to miss the game with a thigh problem, but could return for the home clash with Leeds next Tuesday.
Defender Dominic Shimmin will also sit out the game as he begins a three-match ban, but experienced midfielders Steve Lomas and Marc Bircham - left on the sidelines for much of pre-season - could figure.
Waddock could hand debuts to summer signings Damion Stewart, Armel Tchakounte, Nick Ward and Adam Czerkas.
