Fiorentina make bid for Kroldrup
Fiorentina are set to step in and end Per Kroldrup's Everton nightmare.
The Goodison Park club said discussions are continuing between the two clubs, after an offer was made by the Serie A outfit for the Danish defender.
Everton spent £5m to take Kroldrup, 26, to Merseyside in the summer from Udinese but he has played just twice and struggled with an ankle injury.
He was used as a substitute in the Toffees' 1-0 replay victory over Millwall in the FA Cup third round.
Everton chief executive Keith Wyness said: "There has been some interest in Per and we have received an offer from Fiorentina."
