Ferguson will rest his stars against QPR on Tuesday
Sir Alex Ferguson will rest many of his stars against QPR on Tuesday but he'll want his side to bounce back from the defeat at Arsenal.
United crashed to their second Premier League defeat of the season at the Emirates on Saturday - and another against one of their title rivals - as the Gunners ran out 2-1 winners thanks to a double from Samir Nasri.
Next up for the champions is the visit of QPR in the fourth round of the Carling Cup but, despite wholesale changes expected, Ferguson will still want his side to put the defeat to bed by seeing off the Championship men in style at Old Trafford.
Rangers, who have Gareth Ainsworth currently in temporary charge following last month's sacking of Iain Dowie, will be hoping to exploit the fact United are expected to name an under-strength side. However, they wil still field players with plenty of first-team experience as the likes of full-back Rafael, who scored a great goal against Arsenal after coming on as a sub, John O'Shea, Jonny Evans and Ji-Sung Park are all expected to start.
Ryan Giggs could also get the nod after coming off the bench on Saturday while Carlos Tevez may be recalled to the starting XI after a frustrating spell for him recently - the Argentinian star has began just four league games so far for United this season.
