Ferguson pleased with performance
Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson was delighted after his team's 3-0 win in Hungary gave them a 6-0 aggregate victory over Debrecen.
"I was very pleased with the performance," said Ferguson, whose team are now into Thursday's draw for the group stage of the Champions League.
"On a difficult pitch I thought we passed well most of the time.
"It was a surprise Gabriel Heinze scored twice but I don't care where the goals come from."
But Ferguson was full of praise for Heinze's performance.
"Gabriel is such a brave footballer that he is capable of scoring from set-pieces," he added.
"He is prepared to put his head there and it paid off for him.
"Hopefully that will be an area of improvement for us this year.
"If we can get a reasonable return from set-pieces over the course of the season it will make a big difference to our goal tally."
Gary Neville left the field in the first-half and has been ruled out for five weeks with a torn groin muscle.
Bu the United manager said he has the strength in depth to cope with Neville's absence.
"Gary's experience is vital to us. He has been such an important player over the years for us," he said.
"But I believe we have adequate cover. Phil Bardsley did well once he settled in, Wes Brown has played there many times and so has John O'Shea so it is not a concern."
