F.A to look at bung allegation
the football association are willng to look at alan curbishley's claims that he was offered a bung. the F.A have said they would welcome any evidence from curbishley, who reveald in his soon-to-be-published autobiography valley of dreams that he had been offered an illegal payment. following luton manager mike newell's allegations of coruption, F.A officials are holding ongoing investigations. \"if alan cubishley wants to provide us with evidence t support this claim we will look into it thoroughly,\" read an F.A statement. former charlton manager curbishley, who left the addicks at the end of last season, claimed he was 'one of the straightest managers' in football but was once offered a bung. he also revealed that one cheif executive was so generouse he was known among agents as 'father christmas.' \"i think i have the reputation as one of the straightest managers in the game and only once in all the discussions i've ever had with agents have i been asked if i wanted anything out of the deal,\" he sai. \"he basically told me what his would be and suggested he could add a bit on top which would be for me.\"

I think we would be quite amazed at how many managers take this money....if only we knew!!!! :wink:

the only way we find out when managers take a bung is when they get caught out, and we are still shocked when this happens.

to be honest who would turn down £50,000-£150,000 knowing that you may never get caught and with the low frequency of people ever caught its worth the risk and also theres alot worse going on in the football world and thats only the things we hear about!!! Im not saying I agree but its a fact of life :wink:
