England line up Netherlands match
England will begin their 2009-10 campaign with a friendly against the Netherlands in Amsterdam on 12 August.
Fabio Capello's team conclude their World Cup qualifying campaign in the two months afterwards with key matches against Croatia and Ukraine.
England and the Netherlands are both top of their qualifying groups for the 2010 World Cup finals in South Africa.
The last time England played in Amsterdam in 2006, Wayne Rooney grabbed the opening goal in a 1-1 draw.
As part of the deal, the Netherlands, who reached the Euro 2008 quarter-finals, will play a return fixture at Wembley in August 2011.
The Netherlands are placed fourth in the world in the latest Fifa rankings.
The announcement means England's 2009 fixture calendar is almost complete with friendlies already scheduled against Slovenia and Slovakia in March and September respectively.
The only slot still to be filled is 12 February, when England are expected to play Spain.
Although the fixture itself has been agreed, the Football Association are still waiting to hear where their Spanish counterparts would prefer to play.
