Eastbourne Borough
New Eastbourne Borough midfielder Simon Wormull feels his side can do more than just survive next season after their promotion to the Blue Square Premier. Wormull, 31, has played in the top non-league division before with Stevenage, Dover, Rushden and Crawley. He told SSB: "The first priority is to stay up, but I think with the side Eastbourne have got we can be looking for better." "They had 20 clean sheets last season so defensively the base is there." Wormull admits he was sad to leave Lewes, saying: "The players played their hearts out to get us to where we want to be. "The drastic changes took the shine off of it but nothing surprises in me football now." Eastbourne have also announced Simon Colbran has joined their coaching staff. The former Borough player was joint manager of Crowborough, who won the Sussex County League title last season.

Eastbourne sign Cambridge's Brown
Eastbourne Borough have signed Cambridge United midfielder Danny Brown on loan until 1 January. The 28-year-old is eligible to play in Saturday's FA Cup first round tie with Barrow, after beating the registration deadline by just seven minutes. He began his career at Leyton Orient, before moving on to Barnet, Oxford United and Crawley. Brown made just six appearances for Cambridge United in the Blue Square Premier this season.
