Dowie tips Nardiello
QPR striker Danny Nardiello has been handed a lifeline by new manager Iain Dowie - but has been warned he faces a fight for a first-team shirt.
Nardiello made just eight appearances for Rangers before being loaned back to former club Barnsley last season, but with Rowan Vine out with a broken leg Dowie has a vacancy in attack.
"Nards has worked hard and, with Rowan Vine being out for a while, that's maybe opened up an avenue," Dowie told the Kilburn Times.
"I've always felt he had goals in him - he didn't play a lot last year for QPR and hasn't yet scored for the club, but his record tells you he always does score.
"My view is there's competition for places and Nards, like all of them, has a job to get in the starting XI. Everyone's at the same level and that includes the other players who went out on loan last year."
i wouldnt tip him to score in a knocking shop
Well theres the view of our manager
he cant time a run ,his positional sense is woeful and he is always offside.
