Dowie - Rowlands going nowhere
Queens Park Rangers manager Iain Dowie insists he will not allow captain Martin Rowlands to leave the club.
Rowlands is believed to be a summer target for a host of clubs and Dowie admits it is 'flattering' that there is interest in the midfielder.
However, Dowie is adamant that the 29-year-old will continue to skipper QPR next season as they attempt to reach the Premier League.
Dowie told the club's official website: "I'm delighted to have a player of Martin's character and ability at the club and he will skipper the side again next season.
"He's a hugely important player for us. He shares the same ambitions for the club as I do and he's really looking forward to the new challenge.
"Martin loves this place and hasn't got any interest in moving elsewhere. It's flattering that other clubs are interested in our players, but he's going nowhere."
