Doping tests a deterrent - Uefa
Doping tests are acting as a successful deterrent in European football, according to governing body Uefa.
Of 1,348 tests carried out last season, none came back positive out of competition and only seven were positive during competition, said Uefa.
However, Uefa admitted that \"social drugs\" are present in soccer.
The positive tests included two for cannabis at under-19 level, two for cocaine at under-17 level and one for anabolic steroids in the Uefa Cup.
