Defender grateful for Gregory
Defender Marcus Bignot says QPR still have a lot of work to do, but says John Gregory has saved them from certain relegation this term.
The Hoops were rooted to the bottom of the Championship table after just one win in their opening eight games when Gregory took over the Loftus Road hot seat. However two successive wins under his leadership have propelled them up the table and Bignot says the improvement is down to the new boss.
The 32-year-old told the club's website: \"Before John Gregory took over, we looked certainties to go down. We need to get to the 50-point mark as quickly as possible.
\"Staying in the Championship is vital, both personally and for the club. We will not be distracted from that objective, and we know there is great deal still to be done.
\"We are still only three points off the bottom three, and things can still take a turn for the better or the worse.\"
He added: \"The manager is looking to improve our fitness, and we have worked really hard.
\"The training in that area has been stepped up during the last two weeks, and I am sure we will get fitter.\"
