Defender completes QPR switch EXCLUSIVE
Queens Park Rangers have swooped for Fulham defender Zesh Rehman, writes Sir Stanley.
It was rumoured last week that Rehman was set to complete a move away from Craven Cottage and he has now completed a move to Loftus Road, penning a three-year deal.
\"I'm delighted to have secured a move to QPR,\" Rehman told clubcall, \"I've been at Fulham a long time and I would like to thank everyone at the club for developing me as a player.
\"This is an opportunity for me to go out into the football world and show what I can do.
\"I had some good times at Fulham and would like to thank the manager and coaching staff.\"
QPR defender Zesh Rehman is keen to distance himself from comparisons with former Rangers star Dan Shittu.
Rehman left Fulham to sign a three-year deal at Loftus Road last week - just days after Shittu moved to Watford for a fee that could rise to £3million.
But the 22-year-old insists he does not resemble Shittu as a player.
\"People will try to compare us because I arrived so soon after he left,\" acknowledged Rehman. \"But I'm a very different type of defender to Dan.
\"If the fans take to me like they did to him, that will be great.\"
