Dead boy's parents present trophy
The parents of a murdered teenager are to present a trophy in his memory at a football tournament between Wiltshire police and local youngsters.
Kiyan Prince was 15 when he was stabbed as he tried to break up a play-fight outside his London school in May 2006.
The promising young footballer played for Queen's Park Rangers' youth team.
Sunday's six-a-side matches at the Swindon Supermarine Football Club are aimed at encouraging dialogue between young people and police.
Chief Inspector Simon Dicks said: "We are extremely grateful to Kiyan's parents for coming down from London to help us explain the dangers of knife crime.
"Hopefully their experience will drive home the message that getting involved in a culture of knife-carrying is not a sensible move."
As well as the Kiyan Prince trophy, there will also be a Golden Boot award which will be presented by the Mayor of Swindon and prizes for the tournament winners and runner-ups.
