De Goey on board with R's
John Gregory has welcomed the arrival of former Chelsea goalkeeper Ed de Goey as his new first-team coach at Loftus Road.
The Dutchman made over 200 appearances for the Blues and Stoke after arriving in England in 1997 from Feyenoord.
The 40-year-old told the club's official website: "I spoke to Mr Gregory about the role and everything feels right. It suits me well and I'm happy to be joining the club.
"Last season I worked with the keepers at Chelsea and that was hugely beneficial, but here I will be working with the whole first team, not just the goalies."
Gregory added: "Ed has a fantastic CV, has played at the very highest level and comes with the highest recommendations from everybody."
