De Canio praise for Jamaican star
QPR manager Luigi De Canio has offered his support to Damion Stewart and backed him to be a mainstay of his defence for many years to come.
The giant Jamaican has been a virtual ever-present this term and has added goalscoring to his repertoire with three to his name already, including the opener against Burnley on Tuesday night.
"Damion is an excellent player and will improve even more," said De Canio, whose side lifted themselves off the foot of the table with a 2-0 win at Turf Moor.
"We played against an excellent team but we made chances on the counter-attack. That was a big win for us, there's no doubt about that."
