De Canio poised for Preston clash
Luigi De Canio admits there is little point looking up or down the table ahead of QPR's mid-table encounter at home to Preston on Saturday.
Last weekend's draw at Ipswich took Rangers to 53 points, which should comfortably be enough to avoid relegation but leaves them too far adrift of the play-off places for a realistic promotion push.
But De Canio insists victory is still important against North End as he looks to end an eventful season in west London on a high.
"We just need to think about playing every game as it comes," said the Italian.
"We have Preston next who are on the same points as us so we will focus on trying to win that game and to give some satisfaction to our fans."
