Curbishley settles pay-off with West Ham to put QPR on alert
Alan Curbishley is free to return to management after agreeing a pay-off with West Ham over his Upton Park exit 17 months ago.
The 52-year-old, who has been linked with the Queens Park Rangers job, recently won a claim of wrongful dismissal against the Hammers.
He walked out after the club sold Anton Ferdinand and George McCartney to Sunderland against his wishes, which breached his contract.
The settlement follows constructive talks with new West Ham owners David Gold and David Sullivan.
'It has taken many months to conclude this case but I am proud of my record at West Ham, which included a win ratio of 40 per cent, after initially keeping the club in the Premier League and a 10th-place finish in my only full season in charge.
'I would like to thank David Sullivan for acting quickly and concluding the settlement since his arrival at West Ham.

'With my managerial record intact, I am now looking forward to the future and getting back into football management.'
