Crystal Palace midfielder bid rejected
QPR have failed with a bid for Crystal Palace midfielder Ben Watson who looks set to sign for Wigan or Middlesbrough. Rangers have been chasing the player for some time and now Palace boss Neil Warnock has revealed they failed with a bid that fell well below their valuation. "I felt we were being stitched up a little with QPR's interest," Warnock revealed. "We were made to believe QPR was where he is was likely to end up, but we also had a couple of offers from other Championship clubs, but nowhere near our valuation. "QPR came to us a few weeks ago with a £500,000 bid which Simon flatly rejected - and rightly so." Since then both Middlesbrough and Wigan have had £1.5million bids accepted by Palace and it is down to the player to decide where he wants to move to.
