Lambert unconcerned by U's form
Colchester United boss Paul Lambert is confident his side can return to winning ways in Saturday's Essex derby.
The U's head into Southend United's first visit to the Community Stadium on the back of two consecutive defeats.
The U's have also failed to score in those two games, but Lambert told BBC Essex there is no significant problem.
"We haven't performed the way we had in the last few months and ultimately got beat, but we've had a chat with the lads and we'll be ready," he said.
The U's and the Blues played out a thrilling 3-3 draw at Roots Hall in November, but Lambert does not expect a repeat performance this weekend.
"I certainly hope not, you would take a 1-0 ," he said.
"But it's a derby game, it's important for the players and important for our fans so we'll try all we can to do it."
Saturday's game will be Lambert's second Essex derby, but the former Champions League winner says he will not be feeling any extra nerves than usual.
"When the kick-off comes you might get a little bit, but at the moment I'm totally fine," he said.
"One thing's for sure I know how important it is to the fans and to the players and we'll do our best to try and win it."
