Claude Makelele is expected to return to the Chelsea team for their Champions League match against Werder Bremen. World Cup Golden Shoe winner Miroslav Klose is a major injury concern for Werder Bremen after he picked up a thigh injury at the weekend. But Bremen keeper Tim Wiese has bronchitis and definitely misses out, while doubts remain over Tim Borowski and Torsten Frings, who missed out through injury on the weekend. Mourinho outlines Euro prospects
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho believes there are 10 teams with a realistic chance of winning the Champions League. Speaking ahead of Tuesday's match with Werder Bremen, Mourinho said: \"We want to win it - but so do all the others. \"When you speak about the players Chelsea bought, I think it's correct to say Chelsea should be stronger and should be contenders. \"But you should not forget the other teams. You have a minimum of 10 teams who can win it.\" Mourinho rates Italian side Inter Milan as the strongest in the competition - but he expects a tough test from opening opponents Bremen. \"In terms of numbers and quality, I think Inter Milan have the best squad in the world at the moment,\" added the Chelsea boss. \"I think Bremen are the best team of all the third seeds in the group stage. \"I do not think they are afraid of us. At this level you are speaking about some of the best players in the world. \"It is important to win because it gives confidence. The group is a really difficult test.\" Chelsea, who are in Group A with Bremen, Levski Sofia and holders Barcelona, have added Andriy Shevchenko, Michael Ballack, Ashley Cole, Salomon Kalou and Khalid Boulahrouz to their squad. Meanwhile, Mourinho said he had been frustrated by a lack of opportunity to develop the midfield partnership between Ballack and Frank Lampard. \"I'm very happy with both individually,\" said the Blues boss. \"I'm not happy because I have no time to help them - I have no time to work so I'm not giving them enough. \"I don't train with them to prepare them to play better together.\"
